Due to our office shifting from central surat to a litle far, we had
to shift our airtel broadband connection to some other provider. No
broadband connection availability left me with 2 choices, SoftNet and
Tikona. I gave my thumbs up to Tikona because few of my friends
recommended(And surprisingly!, they are getting proper connection!) out
of their generosity. So I called this guy up for the speed plans they
offered. As I had to shift quickly, I decided to pay him in cash instead
of cheque to speed up the process(After the installation process
completed, I regret to pay them in cash, cheque would have been
better!). The connection usually takes 24 hours but the guy came within 6
hours only but due to a cable unavailability at our office, he told me
to come later after it gets fixed. I called him within 30 minutes to
come back because we had fixed the issue. But then after making numerous
calls(most of them getting rejected) he came to our office to install
the connection on third day. He did his job and showed us 4 MBPS Speed.

Now the story starts, the speed starts getting worst and worst and it hovers around 250kbps (whereas I subscribed for 4 MBPS Unlimited plan) from past 3-4 days And It has become a routine to make one call a day to tikona customer care and being promissed to send an engineer to my place and whoa! That imaginary guy doesn’t show up! After repeated complains, I got calls from them today morning and I told them to come asap to my office to resolve my connection speed. (So far, already frustrated!) and he promissed to come within an hour or so because it has been raining and hello! No sign of raining this noon anywhere in whole surat, where are you from Cherapunji? But I said, its okay! You can come down after an hour and I call him back again after another hour and now he won’t receive my calls. So I decided to call tikona again and I plainly have told them to cancel my connection at the earliest and refund me my amount(Somehow while registering, I became generous and paid them 5700 bucks) And I have made up my mind to cancel the connection in less than a week after subscription because evenif this engineer shows up in a day or a week and resolves my issue, I am sure to have this issue again because from past 4 days I am getting speed no more than 250 KBPS. A screenshot for the latest speed test is attached! Lucky enough to have as much speed to write this review from their Wild Internet connection. I would highly NOT recommend Tikona’s internet connection and will recommend to go for 50 bucks Mobile GPRS plan instead and it will have the same speed.
As far as my reason for reviewing this within 4 days of the issue of speed is that my whole business is dependent upon internet, a working internet. I have all my clients online and I need to keep them giving support round the clock and instead now I am busy clicking on refresh button again and again to check my own official website.
